TRAINING FOR THE SIR CERTIFICATE HPWJ
In this course, our experienced instructor will prepare you for the SIR exam High Pressure Water Jetter, based on requirements set by SIR. (HPWJ)
The course consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. It has been developed to improve safety and efficiency during the execution of High Pressure cleaning activities. We will discuss the correct use of the high pressure cleaning equipment and explain the material in an understandable way based on recognisable, real-life examples. We continuously adjust the content to new requirements and changes in the industry. For this course we use the SIR handbook High Pressure Water Jetting.
In addition to Dutch, the SIR exam (digital) can also be taken in English, German or French. Our courses are taught in Dutch as standard. In consultation this is also possible in English or German. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities.

COURSE SPECIFICATION
The duration of the course is three days, consisting of two days of training. Both the practical part and the theoretical part of the exam will take place at our SIR certified training location in Stellendam (near Rotterdam). It is also possible to offer this course on site at the customer. For more information, visit our page tailor-made courses.
SIR Exam HPWJ
The course will be concluded with an official SIR exam on the third day, which will take place in the morning. Half a day will consist of practical exercises, that will fully prepare you for the SIR exam. The theoretical part consists of 30 multiple choice questions. It will test the participant’s knowledge regarding safety aspects, equipment and concepts. During the practical exam, the safe use of the high-pressure gun and the hose are tested. To take part in the practical exam, the participant must have passed the theoretical exam.
SIR Certificate
When you have passed the SIR exam, you will receive the SIR certificate for High Pressure Water Jetter – Basic. The certificate has a validity of 3 years. Certificates obtained after September 1, 2020 have a validity of 5 years
Extending SIR Certificate HPWJ
Certificates can be extended from six months before the expiry date to three months after dates, the extension exam consists only of theoretical questions.
Please note: as of September 1, 2020 the extension courses HD will expire.
Languages
The SIR exam High Pressere Water Jetter can be requested in addition to the Dutch language in English, German or French. There are also possibilities to follow the course in another language, for more information please contact us.
Course material
The course is based on the SIR manual high pressure liquid cleaning. We will send you the manual digitally as soon as the registration has been processed, the SIR app also provides access to the teaching materials.
